A fabulous fall day in France!

Kurt and I celebrated our 18th anniversary today (it was really yesterday). We went to a little town, Hede, about 15 minutes from Geveze. It is famous for there Locks on a river that runs from St. Malo to the Atlantic (about 250 kilometers). We saw about 7 or 8 locks on our dreamy walk along this beautiful river on an absolutely beautiful fall day. Just as we were about to get in the car we looked down river and saw a boat moving into position into a lock, so we got to actually watch a boat move through the lock. We were both surprised that it only took about 5 minutes for the lock to fill and the boat to be on its way. A fabulous afternoon!

Music in France
We listen to the French radio stations every time we are in the car with the kids. They play American/English music all the time. In fact, they are required to play a french artist for every 4 American/English songs. Our absolute favorite song on the radio right now is a song called “Je ne sais pas” by a French artist named Joyce Jonathon. I posted it here from You Tube so you could hear it…it’s great.

I can’t believe that you’ve been married 18 years — WOW!! But I guess that’s easy enough to believe since we’ve been in Tenn for 14 years now. GREAT pictures!!!
